Anna Arietti Violin Cremona 2020
This violin was made by Anna Arietti in 2020 in Cremona. Known professionally as Anna Arietti, Ayoung An is originally from South Korea. Upon graduating from the International School of Violin Making in Cremona, Arietti subsequently participated in competitions and garnered many achievements and awards. She cites Conzorzio Maestro Edgar Russ as influencing her career and style. Arietti opened her own workshop in Cremona in 2020, making violins, violas and cellos that each have their own beauty and sound.
This violin is labelled 'Anna Arietti / fece in Cremona 2020' and is based on a Stradivarius model. The body measures 356mm along the back, 167mm across the upper bouts and 204mm across the lower bouts. The back is of one piece lightly flamed maple with a broad curl. The ribs and scroll match the back. The top is medium grained spruce. The violin has been finished with golden brown varnish and boxwood fittings.
This violin has a bright and powerful sound and is most suited for solo and chamber performance at a professional level. In equal parts rough, intense, clean, and noble, this violin gives the player access to many different colours and styles while always retaining its clarity and lustre.
